Hot flashes are also a symptom of menopause as this is a sudden heat which occurs in the upper part of the body. These hot flashes can make you wake up at night as it causes night sweats while you are sleeping which makes hard for you to rest comfortably. Near about 2 out of 10 women are found not to have hot flashes. The time period around which the women suffer hot flashes is 7 years.
